Bungalow in Pune will be utilized by the Indian Army
The President’s post-retirement bungalow in Pune will be utilized by the Indian Army as the President, Pratibha Patil has declared that she will not occupy the bungalow after her retirement.
The bungalow is located on two adjacent plots in Khadki Cantonment over an area of 859.61 sqm.
The construction of the bungalow is still going on and is expected to be complete by July.
As the president has decided not to occupy it after an objection by the ex-servicemen organization, the army officials are planning to utilize it for their purpose.
According to an higher army official, “the bungalow was sanctioned by the Ministry of Defense and the decision, regarding its use will be taken by the Ministry only”.
