Drinking water project in Bangalore will be launched by June
The Yettinahole water project will be launched by June 20th, as reported by a state government official.
This water project will serve the purpose of providing pure drinking water for the residents of Kolar, Chikballapur, Bangalore Rural, Tumkur and Ramangaram districts.
The estimated cost of the project is Rs 200 crore and the government has approved the amount. The detailed project report has already been finalized and the tenders also have been called.
The source of water is Netravati, and the water will be supplied to the drought prone districts.
According to the proposal, the project will supply 25 tmcft of water to the five districts.
