Unauthorized construction is increasing in Nagpur
The Nagpur Municipal Corporation has planned to scrutinize all real estate constructions in Nagpur for proper clearance. It is noticed that unauthorized constructions are increasing in Nagpur.
The Municipal authority has shortlisted 716 buildings which have gone against the sanctioned plan.
Till now the municipality has demolished the Illegal constructions at Tourist Inn in Sitabuldi and a five storey building in Laxmi Bhuvan square, Dharampeth.
Around 436 of the buildings, including Khandelwal Jewelers in Gokulpeth and Ayurvedic Complex in Medical Square, have filed an appeal in the court to challenge the notices.
According to a senior official of NMC, many of the building’s owners have started to initiate desperate measures to avoid demolitions.
Different residential projects in Nagpur are modifying their construction plans to avoid any further litigations.
