Tree transplant drive by Surat real estate builders
Prayas, a city based NGO, is driving a tree transplantation service in Surat. The real estate developers, private plot holders, residential societies, industrial unit owners are approaching to the NGO for transplant trees around their premises.
The builders and the industry owners had chopped several trees for their construction purpose. Now they are eager to build greenery around their complexes.
The NGO group have received request for transplanting about 110 trees from private premises in the city as well as from faraway places like Bardoli, Kosamba and Palsana.
The builders are confirming to use their open lands to replant the trees uprooted from other locations for various construction activities.
A real estate developer has contacted the NGO from Bardoli taluka to replant about 40 full grown trees to his another site.
Previously the builders used to chop the trees hindering any projects in Surat. Now they need not to cut the trees rather they can replant the trees to other locations.
