Mumbai realtors focus on 1 BHK projects

Owing to the reduced number of property sales, real estate developers of Mumbai are set to build smaller one bedroom flats.

Market surveys and customer feedbacks have confirmed that there is a huge demand for 1 BHK flats. Therefore, around 1,000 one bedroom flats are being launched freshly in Mumbai.

Hubtown Limited has launched 100 such units in its Jogeshwari Vikhroli Link Road (JVLR) project. The company also plans to launch 1-BHK houses in its Bandra (East) project near the Bandra Kurla complex.

The Prarthana group of companies is constructing 600 1 BHK flats at Malad (East), each of 500 square feet area quoted at Rs 10,000 per sq. ft.

Realty experts say that the builders are being forced to opt this way due to prevailing market conditions.
