Spat between BBMP and RWA sprouts up
Spat was caused between Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) and Residents Welfare Association of Pillana Garden area due to Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) asserting residents of the area to pay half the money to re-lay the footpaths that were being broken by the civic utility.
According to the residents, the BWSSB broke the footpaths while digging up to lay new sewage pipes in one of the roads in Pillana Garden area and the authority is bent on harrowing the residents by asserting that half of the cost has to be borne by the residents themselves.
While the BBMP stands still on the ground that the residents have to share the cost, the residents approached the media stating the former’s act unfair, after seeking help from local MLA.
