HC demands BBMP probe report in 45 days
Karnataka high court on Monday gave 45 days’ time to the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) to submit a report on the irregularities in its 25 divisions.
Former Mayor P R Ramesh, along with few others, had moved to the high court, seeking a CBI investigation into the alleged irregularities stating that they do not have faith in the Technical Vigilance Co-ordination Committee (TVCC).
Meanwhile, the court has ordered the TVCC to complete the probe and submit a report within 45 days.
In his petition, Ramesh highlighted that how a single work carried out on paper by agencies such as BBMP, BDA and BWSSB, for which fake bills were created.
