BBMP to set up DMCs in the city
The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has decided to open Disaster Management Centres (DMCs) in all its eight zones. The DMCs will be set up to provide medical treatment to people in case of a terror attack or spread of diseases in the city.
The civic body plans to open a center at its head office under the BBMP commissioner. The DMCs will be opened in other zones as well under joint commissioners who will report to the commissioner.
To effectively execute the action plan, BBMP have decided to depute the best doctors in the BBMP to the DMC who can handle any emergency situation.
