Residents shift to court regarding the urban plan
Gurgaon- The issue of the urban plan has resulted in a situation wherein the residents have planned to drag the Haryana Government to the Supreme Court as the Haryana Government did not fulfill their objections over the proposed Gurgaon-Manesar Urban Complex plan.
The final development plan of the Complex which was notified on Friday, by the State Government has a total urbanizable area of 32,988 hectares which currently caters to a projected population of 42.50 lakh.
Five major objections were raised by the Sarvadaman Oberoi of Mission Gurgaon Development while stating that although the new points were raised by residents were added to the notification, yet they do not hold any water. However, there was also an absence of the approvals taken from the NCR planning board or the union ministry of environment.
It was stated by the residents that they have filed an RTI application to the town and country planning department and have further decided to move the matter to court once the 90-day legal notice has completed.
