Online campaign launched by DLF for streelights
After repeated pleas to various authorities to install streetlights in their area fell on deaf ears, the residents of DLF Phase-I are planning to start an online campaign.
President of H-Block RWA, DLF Phase-I says that they were trying their level best from past two years to convince every possible concerned departments to install streetlights, but no action has been taken to implement streetlights. The problem mainly existed on the main road that connects Bristol roundabout with the Gurgaon-Faridabad highway.
The residents have even filed RTI applications along with the letters, but still no action had been taken.
Stating about his action plan, the president has said that an online signature campaign will be initiated, where the residents of the vicinity will be asked to sign the online appeal, which will be send to the chief secretary.
The residents of the Palam Vihar have complained against the authorities. Although, they have managed the authority to start the process of installing streetlights, still they feel the road which is connecting the Columbia Asia Hospital with Sector 4 crossing is facing a very slow progress.
Anoop Rohera, starter of the online campaign, states that within a week after the submission of online petition, with around 4000 signatures, the concerned department have started acting on it.
