Trump in talks with developers for housing projects in Mumbai, NCR
Trump Organisation, a major US based real estate developer, is planning to expand in the Indian cities like Mumbai and NCR.
The company is in talks with developers based at Mumbai and NCR for launching two luxury housing projects under their brand.
The group has already entered Indian real estate market with a luxury residential project in Pune named Trump Towers Pune which was originally developed by Panchshil Realty.
Tribeca Developers, based in Mumbai has been appointed by the Trump group to identify more of such projects in India which can be given the group’s name.
The recent tie up by the Trump will be the first of its kind. This shows that Indian real estate is very important for the group. With this project, realty market in India would be one of the top investment destinations out of North America.
The work Tribeca group is indulged in is to identify and select the correct projects for Trump to give its brand name. The projects include residential, hotel, mixed-use and Golf Course projects in India.
Many developers in Mumbai and NCR are keen to develop their projects under the Trump’s name. Two projects are in the pipeline whose deal will be closed in the next 6-12 months.
Trump group is also looking for opportunities in other cities like Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad as well as Goa. They are in talks with big as well as small developers.
As per reports, business model of Trump includes developers sharing a certain percentage of revenue with the group which works as a license to get the brand name of the latter.
