Floor-Wise Building Plans sanctioned by MCD
Soon, Delhiites will be able to get floor-wise building plans sanctioned from the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD). People will not have to take the permission from other occupants of the building before carrying out any alteration on their floors. The new guidelines include waiving of the condition of ‘No Objection Certificate’ from the owners of other portions of the building.
The civic agency is ready with guidelines to sanction and regularize building plans floor-wise. In plotted areas, we are ready with the new guidelines. It is in public domain for suggestions and objections. We are hopeful that we will be able to implement it soon,” said Yogender Chandolia, chairman of MCD standing committee.
“Many builders complain that due to delay in sanctioning and regularization of building plans by MCD, it leads to high property prices as less space is available. People, especially the middle class who have never dreamed of having their own house in Delhi, will now be able to have affordable housings,” said Chandolia.
The distribution of permissible FAR including ownership rights shall be determined as per ownership documents. Structural Safety Certificate may be obtained from IIT, Delhi, CBRI, Roorkee, RITES, Delhi, National Council for Cement & Building Material, Faridabad and IIT Roorkee. However, the responsibility to see that no damage or loss is caused to the existing floors or adjoining buildings has been pushed to the builder.
