Ambience U-turn closed, causes inconvenience
The Ambience U-turn in Gurgaon has been closed for commuters by National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). It is a prominent turn and will affect hundreds of families living in residential areas around the mall as well as those coming from IFFCO or Shankar Chowk. The commuters will now have to take a detour to Delhi and to get to Cyber City and DLF Phase 3 they will have to take a turn from under the Rajokri flyover on the expressway. The commuters were surprised to find the U-turn closed. A senior traffic cop at the toll plaza informed that the traffic remained smooth as commuters are gradually getting accustomed to the new arrangement.
On the left side of the Delhi-Gurgaon flank of the expressway, six lanes have been carved out exclusively for commuters going towards Ambience Mall, Cyber City and DLF Phase III. Other nine lanes are for those going towards other parts of the city or Jaipur. This should ensure smooth traffic.
Large flex boards will soon be put up on each lane in a day or two to give directions to commuters.
