Gurugram civic body directs DLF to complete pending infrastructure work in three colonies

GURUGRAM: The Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon has ordered DLF to execute the unfinished infrastructure work in its three colonies — DLF 1, 2 and 3 — for their takeover by the organization. The left out work associated with roads and drains in these communities has hindered the method of takeover and produced difficulty to the citizens.

In a strongly worded letter, a senior official of MCG accused DLF of not fulfilling its commitment as per the specifications are given in the detailed project report. If DLF fails to finish the work on time, MCG will do so in the interest of the residents and DLF will have to bear the cost, the body said.

MCG chief Amit Khatri familiarized that they have experienced numerous complaints associated with water, sewerage, horticulture, and sanitation from the inhabitants but couldn’t determine them as the communities are still with DLF. We have examined DLF to execute the pending shortfall infrastructure and proffer a report within a week.
TOI had announced on November 8 that the builder has announced it will take 2-3 months to finish work and handover subsistence charge. But through a current inventory of the three DLF phases, the MCG team affirmed that work on fundamental amenities improving at snail’s pace.

DLF executive director Shekhar Basu said he has not obtained any such report from MCG yet.

Sources announced that a meeting was carried beneath the chairmanship of the director of the town and country planning department while which MCG was directed to get over the preservation of all authorized colonies including DLF 1, 2 and 3 after the developers finish the unfinished infrastructure work. But the civic agency had particularized it would take supervision of maintenance only after the developer of particular projects created all pending work.
