Four helpdesks launched by DDA as part of its ‘agenda for 100 days’
Last week, on June 6, the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) announced the launch of 4 helpdesks or Nagrik Suvidha Kendras in Delhi. The helpdesks were launched by the DDA as part of the ‘agenda for 100 days’ submitted before the UD ministry.
The locations at which the 4 Nagrik Suvidha Kendras have been launched are: INA, Rohini, Laxmi Nagar and Dwarka.
According to the information shared by a senior DDA official, the key objective behind the launch of the 4 helpdesks is to facilitate the process of issuing property conversion deeds. Suvidha Kendras essentially make transfer of property increasingly convenient for allottees and occupants of DDA flats and group housing societies.
Revealing that Suvidha Kendras were being run by DDA at INA on a trial basis, senior officials of the DDA said that, during a five-day trial camp, the Suvidha Kendras issued as many as 750 conversion deeds.
With regard to the advantages of opening Suvidha Kendras, Najeeb Jung said at the launch of the 4 helpdesks that only ‘intention’ is not enough to run systems in the organizations; and asserted that, a number of times, “organizations are victim of their own rules and regulations leading to enormous hold up of paper work etc.”
Jung further added: “It is only if there is ability to cut red tape in the systems and processes that organization can evolve and grow.”
