A foundation stone to be laid by Narendra Modi for Mandovi Bridge
The Prime Minister of India, Mister Narendra Modi has decided to lay the foundation stone for the new Mandovi Bridge on this Saturday. He will be also inaugurating the Indian Navy’s new facility at around 2:45 pm on the same day. Once he is through with that, he will be coming over to Panaji in order to lay the foundation stone.
The new bridge which is about to be constructed is a cable stayed bridge lying between the two current existing bridges. It will cost quite a lot of money. The sources in the Goa state infrastructure development corporation have said that the project has already been tendered.
A convention will be addressed by the Prime Minister, Mister Narendra Modi at Bambolim in the Shyama Prasad Stadium. This convention would consist of BJP workers. Modi’s last meeting in Panaji is with a group of 150 professionals. Sources have said that he will be flying back the same evening.
Manohar Parrikar who happens to be the Chief Minister has mentioned that this will be a matter of pride for Goa since this is his first official visit.
