PWD – Steps taken to eliminate clutter at Chandni Chowk
All those traders who went through hardships were glad to see work begin finally. However, since the rainy season is here, they do fear a mess might occur. Now that the Chandni Chowk development works have already started without any formal ceremony, there is a sense of joy noticed among all those in evolved in the trading business.
Since there will be quite a lot of changes in the current plan, pieces of drawing are being prepared. Arun Baroka has also mentioned that they wanted to start off with the project as quickly as possible as it was being procrastinated for long. There are a lot of details that can be worked towards at the same time. They have already spoken to the traffic police since work will also be continued during the night.
Traders on the other hand have stated that they are overjoyed seeing that work has finally begun. However they are preparing themselves so that there is no kind of trouble in the future. A lot of them have also expressed their concern saying that they are worried about the agencies that might start digging just when the season of monsoon has started to settle.
