Forest ministry gives green lights quicker, makes clearances simple and roads are given importance
The new government of Narendra Modi would stretch and increase the support of the administration to all the professional committees on the matter of environment. This make sure that sanctioning usually doesn’t take up so much time once the due diligence is done. This vital piece of information was given away by the environment minister Prakash Javadekar this Thursday.
Mr. Javadekar has also mentioned that the powers to allow clearances shall be devolved wherever there is a need or requirement. The whole procedure of environment clearance which includes scrutiny as well as application shall be handled over the internet from the 1st of July. Matters on forest clearance shall be handled from the 1st of August. The minister has also added that this would give permission for monitoring of whether the timelines can be adhered at every single important stage.
At the moment, the present government has been given the job to clear a total of 289 projects. This includes an expensive steel project and a Tata Sasol project which also costs large chunks of money. In order to see a couple of positive turns in the economy, it is important to see a green clearance.
