The Supreme Court on Wednesday stated that the Sahara Group and Delhi’s Tihar jail authorities should work out a ‘viable’ proposal so that it can enable the jailed Sahara chief Subrata Roy to step out of the lock up for facilitating business negotiations with the potential buyers of his luxury hotels in New York and London in order to raise Rs 10,000 crore to get the regular bail.

We are already aware that the Madison group has given a bid of $800 million for the two luxury hotels. A bench that has been led by Justice TS Thakur has sought fine prints of the proposal that is to be agreed upon by both the parties within the 1st of August when the court is going to pass an interim order to allow Roy to use the conference room in the Tihar jail complex for negotiations with domestic and international buyers.

The court has asked the 65 year old Subrata Roy to give the details of the gadgets like phone and computer and other secretarial stuff that will be needed to assist him during his negotiations with prospect full buyers of the luxury hotels.
