Flyover work to take two years time
The Noida Authority has decided to change the design plan for the proposed 6km elevated road on DSC road, opting to construct the support pillars using Reinforced Concrete Cement (RCC) instead of steel. The move will help to reduce the total cost of construction by Rs 100 crore, officials said.
The proposed stretch, which is expected to come at a cost of Rs 550 crore, will be located between Sector 41 and Phase-II and have three lanes on each carriageway. The flyover will also have a passage for ingress and egress, officials said.
M P Sharma, chief maintenance engineer of Noida said that the detailed project report is being readied and construction is expected to start from mid-September. Once construction starts, the stretch will be ready within two years as said by Sharma.
The plan change in the construction of the proposed elevated road that is to come between Sector 41 and Phase-II will be done in order to reduce the construction cost of this road. The construction will start soon however the dates have not been mentioned yet.
