Builders are dragged down to Court for delaying Residential Project by 4 Years

No Comments Sub Category:Realty News Posted On: Dec 03, 2014

About 25 to 30 residents decided to resort to court when their housing projects near Kharghar were delayed by four years.

Devisha Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd was the builder who told the buyers that the delay is caused due to administrative issues. The residents didn’t find this answer convincing hence took the builders down to court.

About 10% of the net price of the flat was collected from the residents as booking amount, back in 2010. The builders still didn’t bother to start working on this plot. The distressed buyers consulted Police Commissioner K.L Prasad and filed a complaint against Devisha Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. The residents said that the Commissioner had rendered the idea of approaching the court.

The bookings were mainly taken by the two men, Sameer and Pankaj Bhujbal who were dealing with 2600 flats at Hex World Housing Project at Kharghar. The entire scheme is a scam as now the builders are offering the money back as refund amount. Now the developers have decided to sell off the flats to latest buyers at the running market rate. The current market rate is eventually greater than what the buyers had paid earlier. No one made a slightest remark from the side of Devisha Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd, even after being questioned repeatedly.

These residents are downcast as they have a faint ray of hope to get their dream home built. Many of them had an entire fortune invested. The residents are not willing to cancel their booking instead of the refund amount. They say that the value of the refund amount is not enough to buy a new flat now anywhere in the city.
