Campa Cola demolition tenders in Mumbai to be brought back
The well known Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC)now has decided to call back and also place a second invite to those tenders that brought about the need to demolish illegal floors of the infamous Campa Cola society. Last time the invitation was rolled out, it wasn’t a success and not a single bidder came forward for the same, not even a civil contractor too who would have otherwise made around 2.20 crores to demolish the illegal settlements above in Worli seven societies.
Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) now would have their tenders made attractive and very lucrative, hoping to reinvite many for the job at hand. last year in the month of November, sources sais that there were tenders to demolish the illegal floors, and it was invited on the same grounds. Only a few bids for the same were received, and the lowest amongst them all was 1.79 crores which was fixed. However, Supreme Court allowed an extension for the same to happen until the end of May.
No bids have been made since contractors refuse to be a part of demolishing homes of people who have used their hard earned money to make a life and have a roof over the head. It was six months that the tenders last time were finalized on, however, this time they say the task should be a year and not more.
