Cidco extends deadline for submission of RFQ by bidders for Navi Mumbai airport project
The submission of the request for qualification (RFQ) by the prospective bidders for the Navi Mumbai international airport project has been extended by one month by the project’s nodal agency, City and Industrial Development Corporation (Cidco).
In a recent announcement, Cidco has revealed that the deadline for the submission of the RFQ released on February 5 has been extended from June 28 to July 31.
The extension of the RFQ submission deadline by Cidco is apparently an upshot of an April 3 pre-bid meeting in which potential bidders for the Navi Mumbai international airport project had sought amendments to some provisions of the RFQ.
The pre-bid meeting was attended by some well-known companies, including Zurich Airport, Ferrovial Aeropuertos, Tata Realty and Infrastructure, Mumbai International Airport Limited, Ernst & Young LLP, UK Trade & Investment, SREI Infrastructure Finance Limited, Shakat Aviation, Walnut Aviation, Essel Infraprojects, Samsung C&T, IL&FS, GMR Group, Solux Corsan India Engineering & Construction, Gensler (USA), VINCI Concessions India, IRB Infrastructure Developers, and Pramitee Engineering & Surveys.
Revealing that state project monitoring and investment committee had approved the move to extend the time period for submission of RFQ, a Cidco official said: “Bidders had sought amendments to various provisions of RFQ and clarifications with regard to pre-development works, land acquisition, airspace management, rate regulation and airport connectivity.”
