Cops ask MCG to fasten up Old Delhi-Gurgaon Road modification
The traffic police wrote a letter to the Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon and asked to complete the repair work as soon as possible. The repair work has been going on since last year and that affects the traffic. The cops demanded an explanation on the pending road repair work.
The executive engineer says that they have already replied them. The delay is due to the reason that they are waiting for the approval of Urban Local Bodies department.
He further said that the repair work on sewers along the road was completed few days ago and they are almost through with patching of the pot-holes. They are also making sure that all sign boards are in their actual position.
This project consists of dedicated cycle tracks and pedestrian walkways along the six-lane road and will take about 2 years to complete once work starts.
MCG official says that they are expecting to get approval for the project by the end of April. Tenders will be invited soon.
