Delhi/ NCR: PWD to allot Govt houses through online system
The Public Works Department (PWD) said in a Sunday statement that the process of allocation of Government houses in Delhi will be carried out online.
According to the statement released by the PWD about the online allotment move, all the residential accommodations in the Delhi government pool will be allotted via an online automated system of allotment (ASA).
The Department further added that the allotted of Government houses through online ASA will be carried out on the basis of the choices which the applicants have made for specific Government accommodation in the capital.
In the statement released by the PWD, Arun Baroka – PWD’s principal secretary – said that the move to allot Government residential accommodation in Delhi via online ASA has been taken to “provide transparency, speedy allotment, higher occupancy of houses,” as well as give the applicants the opportunity to get the house of their choice.
Revealing that the allotment for Type-IV houses will take place from July 14 to July 28, the PWD said that “Applicants will get their Login ID and Password activated to access the new on-line automated system of allotment for houses;” and added: “A two-day training session has also been organised in the auditorium of Delhi Secretariat for the applicants.”
