Huge turn out of South Delhi residents in polls
In the recent municipal polls, police officials witnessed a huge turn out of residents of South Delhi for giving votes.
From senior citizens to women, everyone participated in the polls from Garhi village which police claim that women never go for voting.
Women in this area have hopes on women candidates in elections that they will bring some good.
Even polling booths in Lajpat Nagar saw people from senior citizens to middle aged groups.
Elsewhere, Jamia Nagar residents have voted with a hope to get better amenities and sanitation in their locality.
GK-I residents claim that messages were circulated from Blackberry Messenger which inspired them to get out of the house and vote.
