Mulund receives a lot of residential projects
In the next 2-3 years, Mulund area is set to receive a lot of residential projects. The projects include apartments ranging from 1 to 4-BHK units with prices varying between Rs 80 lakhs to over Rs 3 crores. In January 2014, the Supreme Court cleared the long disputed forest land and the developers have started construction in the area. The decision has come as a relief to investors and developers. Almost 100 acre of area has been opened up for construction.
Dilip Tripathi of Happy Home Properties informs that this area is a preferred one but the investors have kept away due to its disputed status. The interest among buyers has suddenly increased. Swimming pools, a club house, a gym, car parking, etc facilities are being offered by the developers to attract more buyers. As Mumbai is congested such facilities are difficult to build there.
According to estimates, a 1-BHK apartment in the area, costs between Rs 70-90 lakhs, while a 2-BHK apartment is priced between Rs 1-2 crores. To buy 3 and 4-BHK apartment, one has to shell out over Rs 2.5 crores. There are a lot of schools hospitals, restaurants, shopping malls, departmental stores, banks, clubs, pubs and public parks in the area. It is easily accessible from any part of Mumbai through the Eastern Express Highway. It is also connected to Navi Mumbai through the Mulund-Airoli Bridge, one of only two such bridges joining Mumbai to Navi Mumbai.
Mulund has attracted end users’ interest more than investors’ as the prices are already quite high in the area.
