Mysore Road’s upgraded connectivity spurring commercial development in the area

No Comments Sub Category:Bangalore Posted On: Jun 11, 2014

Commercial development along the Mysore Road, Bangalore, is apparently set to witness potential growth in the near future, thanks largely to the Mysore Road’s upgraded connectivity in the area via the proposed Metro line and widening of the Sirsi Circle Flyover.

The Mysore Road meanders through the southwestern quadrant of Bangalore city, connecting it to the city of Mysore. The number of residential properties has witnessed notable growth in the belt over the last few years, especially after the completion of the incomplete stretches of the Outer Ring Road (ORR) in this region. However, commercial realty developments in the area have been somewhat limited.

So far as commercial market is concerned, the Mysore Road area is essentially characterised by industrial developments, with several well-known manufacturing and engineering firms having set up their businesses in this belt.
Some of the established locations of the Mysore Road area include Vijayanagar and Chamrajpet; while the emerging markets include Kengeri, Kumbalgodu and Bidadi.

Presenting a picture of the commercial development in the Mysore Road area, Satish B N – Knight Frank India’s Executive Director, South – said that one of the key office projects in the Mysore Road belt is a software tech park at Mylasandra.

Revealing that the Mysore Road belt presently has “around 3.20 million sqft of operational IT space,” Satish BN said: “The total office space in this belt will be pegged at around 5.21 million sqft by the end of 2014.”
