NCR Planning Board to approve revised plan
Two meetings were to be held in March and April but were postponed due to intervention of PMO. The NCR Planning Board meeting is planned on Friday.
Haryana government and the ministry of environment and forests are holding the first meeting on April 29 to work out the modalities for preparing the geo-reference of “forest areas” in Faridabad. The 7-member team has been constituted to comply with the NGT order, according to a memorandum circulated by Haryana forest department on Monday. The memorandum mentions that a committee is to be constituted which shall prepare geo-reference map of the area in the Faridabad district, which is ‘forest’ for the purpose of Forest Conservation Act.
