PWD stops Delhi RWA from building gate on arterial road
The Public Works Department (PWD) has thwarted an attempt of Greater Kailash-II Resident Welfare Association (RWA)‘s bid to install a gate on an arterial road.
PWD staff knocked down the iron pillars that had been installed on a road which gives access to many other colonies – like Chittaranjan Park to Alaknanda.
The PWD has asked the RWA to give up its plans to install other gates around the colony, effectively blocking the way of people in several other areas.
The matter has been taken with the police. Civic norms clearly prohibit construction of gates on any roads except the road leads inside the colony.
