Residents keep hawkers away from their locality in Mumbai
The residents of Kandivli’s Mahavir Nagar compelled all hawkers to leave the footpaths of the locality.
The residents took the decision after they were fed up with the daily arguments, eve-teasing and traffic congestions because of the street vendors.
Because of the road hawkers, the resident of Hilla Apartments in Bandra were parking their car on the road outside their building, despite having a paid parking spot in the society.
The residents of Linking Road have cleared illegal hawkers from most stretches of the bustling shopping area through persistent follow-ups with authorities.
According to the civic authority, Hawkers can be evacuated only when the buyers, mostly locals, stop purchasing from them. It is a social awareness against the street hawkers of the locality.
