Work tempo increases on DWARKA EXPRESSWAY
Dwarka Expressway has emerged as one of the most famous real estate destinations in the National Capital Region (NCR).The project was to be completed in March 2012 but because of land acquisition issues the project was delayed. The builders who involved in this project played a vital role in accelerating the development process and ensuring that this project will finish soon.
This project brings Delhi and Gurgaon closer. It will also reduce the traffic problem on NH-8 and connectivity will become smoother and faster. The distance from Gurgaon to IGI airport will also get reduced. Another advantage of this is that the toll for commuters between Delhi and Gurgaon has been discontinued. This will minimize the journey time between the Millennium City and the national capital.
Due to delay in land acquisition the developers of this project demands the compensation as it was the duty of the Haryana government to acquire the land and give it to the contractor on time.
The state government also has taken steps to remove the problems in acquiring the land for the construction of the expressway. As per the report land acquisition process will be finished by the end of this month
A spokesperson says that the land of the 18km stretch of the 150-metre-wide road has been acquired out of which 4km is under a stay order from court.
There are 4 small stretches where the development has not been completed. Out of the total land, the two stretches belong to the public utility departments. As per the plan 800 metres has been handed over to the Indian Railways for development f a rail over-bridge. Huda has already deposited Rs 38 crore in advance for this project.
The land for the balance of the 2.5km of the road is under a stay-order from the high court, which advised the state government not to disturb any possession till the writ petitions gets settled.
All the issues have been resolved except involving those who have houses there and are demanding for better compensation. To solve this problem Huda announces the rehabilitation policy on September 30, 2013. As per the policy, people are being offered alternative plots in Sectors 110 A and 37C. The plots offered in the compensation are of same size as the plot taken away from them. Huda has already got 145 acres land in the 2 sectors for the purpose of compensation.
However 15 acres will be required to resettle the petitioners. On the Side of Delhi the acquisition of the land is almost completed. More than 33,000 houses are under development on Dwarka Expressway. The major developers on Dwarka Expressway consist of Ramprastha, Indiabulls, ATS, Puri Construction, Assotech, Uppals, Raheja, Sobha, Chintels.
