Latest Answer: Well, it’s not just Avinashi road, nearby areas like Lakshmi Garden, Anbu Nagar, etc are also affected by this problem. But, I hear the PWD did not make that hole. Why would they?. They are the ones who constructed the check dam for our safety. However, I think they shouldn't just let the matter sit quietly, they should punish idiots who did such a thing and quickly do something to repair these damages. Because, it won’t just have short term effects but will also have long-term effects like pollution of groundwater. Areas like Avinashi road are good booming real estate areas.

Latest Answer: Basically, the Thaneerpandal road rail overbridge was sanctioned around 2008-2009, and the Peelamedu – Cheran Maanagar Road rail overbridge was sanctioned sometime between 2010 and 2011. In fact, these two actually form part of the level crossing in Coimbatore North Tirupur section. These two sanctions that were supposed to be completed sometime between 3 years ago to now, still haven't been completed and if they were, they were expected to expected to turn Coimbatore and Tirupur districts into level crossing-free districts. Once these sanctioned projects are taken up sincerely by the authorities, given priority and focus, only then can development take place and we can rid Coimbatore of all the traffic obstacles.

Q: Hey I am moving to Selvapuram soon but I've heard that residents have complained about untreated garbage and waste water in the area in the past. Has the situation improved in any way?
Latest Answer: The problem was with the fact that Selvapuram had lack of proper garbage disposal system that further led to blocked drains. People used to throw waste anywhere and everywhere because there were not enough public dustbins, and because of this plastic and other debris used to fly away and clog the drains. That's why the sewage problem became so intense and drastic. The residents themselves should know better, even the civic authorities should act fast. Fault is on both sides. You should still move to Selvapuram though because at the end of the day it is a good locality. These issues have drastically declined since 2 years ago :)

Q: Any major infrastructure projects in Ramanathapuram that might lead to its capital appreciation? Im thinking of investing in real estate here, will that be a good idea guys?
Latest Answer: Yes, you’ve heard right. This project is definitely coming up, and coming pretty soon as well! Imagine having a NIMZ here in Ramanathapuram. What a boost it will give to the real estate market around this place. Because obviously there will be more and more people coming here, thanks to the number of job opportunities that are going to open up here. I heard that the other projects include a 50 MW capacity solar power plant and a desalination plant, which can produce 15 million litres of desalinated water every day.

Q: Hey what’s the status of the Mint Homes case? Anyone got any updates on that?
Latest Answer: Its another classic case of land encroachment that is happening so widely in Coimbatore. This land was handed over to the builders by the Coimbatore Corporation as an open land reserve, but instead he violated that and built up some structures there. So obviously its strictly illegal. So naturally the corporation complained against this. As of now, a case of land encroachment has been registered against the Mint homes and its director Raj Natarajan. A part of it was demolished on 6th July.

Q: Aren't the roads in Mettupalayam considered to be really bad? What is the news on the Bypass project that was supposed to bring developmental changes to the traffic in the area?
Latest Answer: I think Mettupalayam is a very good place to live in Sure, there are major traffic problems but where in Coimbatore is there not? If you're thinking about investing in property this place is perfect. It's beautiful because it has a scenic view of mountains and forests on one side and it can be considered residential as it has all sorts of nice places to eat, good schools, shopping complex and parks. Real estate is good so prices will appreciate soon. I'm sure by then the bypass project will finally begin! :)

Latest Answer: Hey yes, you’ve heard right. And not just one, the corporation is planning to convert all the landfills in the city to parks to try and beautify the city more. I think it will be a great accomplishment once completed, and will help the market in capital appreciation post-completion. This project is funded under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission, as well as by the Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu governments and several private companies.

Q: What is the status of the Ukkadam flyover? Will it be a good idea to invest in an apartment around that area?
Latest Answer: Hi there. Yes both this project and the Gandhipuram Flyover project were proposed by the State Highways Department in the year 2011. The flyover is going to be a three-tier one, and would stretch for 1.5km, connecting Ukkadam with Athupalam, decongesting the traffic along the areas of Ukkadam and Oppanakara Street. So if you’re considering investing in this market, I suggest that you do it immediately and in either of the above mentioned areas, as they will see the maximum price appreciation.
