10 days and the nod comes from RInfra for Mumbai Metro
Reliance Infrastructure sings the song of hope as it waits for the nod to set up the Mumbai Metro line in the next ten days, says a source. The company now waits eagerly for the Indian Railway Board to give it’s final approval, and then the project is scheduled to begin with its commercial operations from the first quarter of 2014-15, says Lalit Jalan, chief executive officer, Reliance Infrastructure. The trials for the same and the works have been done, spanning the route of versova-andheri-ghatkopar successfully and the final approval is being waited for.
experts say there is a significant delay at the moment which is a barrier to starting operations, at least by more than a year and a half. The fourth quarter too for the company was flat, and while everyone is looking at the infrastructure sector to be revived desperately, all hopes are on the Modi government as well for the same.
10 more days is what they are all waiting for, and with not many pipeline projects to be bothered about, Reliance Infrastructure has hopes and time to focus. Sources say it is a wait well worth it, and the Indian Railway board now has to give its nod.
