20 agencies in pre-bid process for NMIA
Twenty agencies met the high rank officers CIDCO regarding the regarding the global bidding for the Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) project. The project is estimated to be worth Rs 15,000 crore.
Mr. Sanjay Bhatia, Cidco vice-chairman and managing director, told the head of the agencies that there will be no air traffic constraints on NMIA and the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA). Therefore the Navi Mumbai airport could operate at the same time in an independent manner. He further pointed out that the Director General of Civil Aviation has already approved the project.
CIDCO spokesperson says that by the 18 June of this year the Request for Qualification (RFQ) process will be completed. The winner of bid will be announced by the end of this year.
