The high-rise buildings such as commercial complexes, shopping malls and also the residential apartments in Hyderabad have issued notices from the City Court for not claiming the No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the fire service departments. Nearly 523 buildings have received the legal notice. Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has taken up the initiative to seal these buiding structures and also having a check to whether the builders have been constructed as per the sanctioned plan form the concerned authorities.
AP Disaster Response and Fire Services department reported saying that their department will complete the notice serving work by the end of October, 2011 and also the mandatory rule has been laid on the builders to pay Rs. 10,000 as building inspection fees. The GHMC also added on saying that the builder should claim the NOC from the fire service department and the Airport Authority of India (AAI), once they have construction plan of high-rise buidings. However most of the builders are ignoring to claim the certificate. However the government departments will have to take srtict measures to avoid legal issues.
