80% allotment for Delhi residents only

Spelling to the relief to those living in rented accommodations in the capital, Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has said it is looking at reserving 80 percent of the flats under Housing Scheme 2014 for Delhi residents only.

This essentially means that people who are living in Noida, Gurgaon and other satellite cities can only be allotted homes from the remaining 20 percent, officials said.  The DDA official stated that they are looking at introducing a condition in the DDA housing scheme 2014, under which 80 percent of the houses will be reserved for people residing in Delhi.

While a person already owning a DDA flat cannot apply under the scheme, those who own builder or private houses can apply. This was stated by DDA Vice-chairman Balvinder Kumar said. This scheme is expected to have 26,000 flats on offer across various categories.

These scheme will help in answering to needs of the flats for the urban residents who look for these allotment schemes to buy a flat. It has still not been announced that when these housing schemes will be taking place but as of now the announcements have taken place about the scheme.
