New sewage treatment plant sanctioned
Kerala Coastal Zone Management Authority has given clearance for implementing sewerage treatment plant (STP) at Mundamveli in Kochi.
This area alone collects around 121 litres of sewage for a day, apart from the overflowed ones.
To explain the same, Kerala Sustainable Urban Development Project (KSUDP) gave a detailed presentation about the need for implementing new sewerage plant.
Considering the same, Ministry of Environment and Forests also gave a nod to this project.
