Illegal dumping in Mithi river
Mithi river located in Mumbai has been famous for its stink, filled with debris and garbage.
Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has been ordered to remove garbage within span of ten days.
The fed up residents who are surviving in the surrounding areas of this river had long back filed public interest litigation.
To stop illegal dumping court has also asked Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) to erect 250 meters wall around the river.
