Garbage treatment plant approved in Kochi
Kochi has witnessed a lot of garbage and waste menace in recent times.
Keeping the woes in mind, Kerala High Court has asked the state Government to start up a centralised Garbage treatment plant-cum power generator within a month and present the report for the same.
This initiative has been taken for effective waste management system in the city.
It was also directed that municipalities having no waste plant can throw wastes in Brahmapuram plant. Also direction was given to search suitable land for time being for dumping waste prior Collector’s approval.
