Three months of drain work not completed in sixteen months

A drain work in Bangalore which was supposed to be completed in three months has not been completed even after sixteen months!
This work happening on the Garuda Mall and Magarth Road-Brigade Road junction stretch is still going on.
The stretch has been closed to general traffic since November 27, 2010.
Both BBMP and police had promised to open the road in March 2011 but it is yet to see the light creating problems for commuters to Central Business District (CBD).
BBMP commissioner claims that the problem will be fixed very soon without even giving a tentative date.
