Garbage nuisance in Chennai
The garbage and sewage stench is unbearable for the residents of localities in Chennai.
The residents belonging to Choolaimedu in Chennai say that they lack proper ventilation due to the presence of garbage and sewage flow adjacent to their houses.
The residents are scared to open doors and windows of the house as the stagnant rivers nearby the localities has become potential breeding ground for mosquitoes.
People have stopped using bore wells and claim to be spending a hefty sum on packaged drinking water and mosquito repellents.
However, there are some signs of sewage situations getting improved with the announcement of budget. The State Government has announced to revamp the city to maintain cleanliness especially at all the apartments in Chennai.
