Share autos started in Chitlapakkam in Chennai
The Chennai government has started the shared autos scheme in Chitlapakkam Town Panchayat and parts of Sembakkam Town Panchayat.
The initiative was taken after the constant demand by the local residents.
At present three vehicles of Tata Magic make are out from Mahalakshi Nagar bus stop on Velachery Main Road to Tambaram Sanatorium railway station.
It is a good sign as residents have to shell out somewhere around Rs 10 per head against earlier Rs 70-100 to reach Tambaram railway station.
