GHMC coming up with new software to calculate property tax
Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is set to bring relief to the owners of properties by sparing them the ordeal of running around the municipal offices for assessment of property tax.
The civic body is coming out with a new software on its website, which will enable property owners to calculate their property tax at the click of a mouse.
The in-built system in the software will calculate the tax, based on the built-up area and locality status.
The owners will have to upload information and later the tax wing officials will visit the house or apartment and measure the built-up area on the ground and make necessary corrections.
The new hyper-link will soon be provided on the civic body’s website www.ghmc.gov.in.
