Demolish illegal constructions: SC
In a recent meeting held, the Supreme Court said that the common man felt cheated as the authorities only demolish illegal slums of the poor and not the illegal constructions by the rich.
A bench of Justices said that the illegal constructions by the affluent destroyed the concept of planned development and also it affects the infrastructure to provide amenities like drinking water, drainage and sewage.
These illegal constructions have become a threat to the public by creating chaos and traffic congestion. Henceforth it is very important for the concerned public authorities not only to demolish the illegal structures but also impose penalty on the violators.
