Plot auctions to be resumed by the AP Housing Board
The Andhra Pradesh Housing Board (APHB) has decided to resume the auction of the plots after a delay of four years as the real estate has been witnessing a development.
The date given for the current phase of auction is November 22 wherein the board will display about 14 plots in Kukatpally Housing Board (KPHB) Colony phases 4, 6, 9 and 15 for the auction.
Out of these, there are about 9 plots which are located in Phase-15 of KPHB followed by two plots each in phase-9, phase-6 and phase 4. The authorities have predicted to pocket about Rs 100 crore from the auction since the plots are located in Kukatpally.
The decision to auction the Kukatpally plots was taken by the APHB after the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) auctioned some of its plots in August and raised Rs 125 crore. The plots to be auctioned were carefully chosen by the APHB wherein out of 14 plots, 4 plots were of High Income Group (HIG), 6 for Middle Income Group(MIG) and 3 for the Low Income Group(LIG).
The cost has been fixed between Rs 20,000 and Rs 40,000 based on the area and the size. It was told that if this auction of plots fetches success, there will be many other plots auctioned in the coming months.
