Amnesty plan: Co-operative flat owners waived off with a smaller fee

No Comments Sub Category:Civic Issues,Delhi-NCR,Municipality Posted On: Nov 21, 2012

flatDelhi/NCR- About 3000 owners from the individual flats of a co-operative group housing societies from Noida are waived off with a small amount  in terms of penalties for the delay in the registration. The properties belonging to people here are that of original owners who are no longer traceable.

Three months ago, the Noida Authority  had issued notices to the flat owners regarding the payment of the penalties along with the stamp duties from the day the flats were transferred in their name. It was stated by the Stamp department that there are quite a handful properties whose original owners are not traceable anymore which leaves the current owners to pay the penalties.

On November 22, with the approval of the state government, the amnesty plan for workers will be decided in a meeting with the UP chief secretary. The plan is expected to state a certain amount of cut off  from the mandatory penalty by all the individual owners. However, a deadline has been set for the flat owners to register their flats.
