BDA to file report on demolishing illegal building

1 Comment Sub Category:Apartment News,Bangalore,Court,Court Orders,Legal Posted On: Nov 28, 2012

Bangalore- Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) was directed by Justice Ram Mohan Reddy to file a report by December 7, with regard to demolishing an illegal building in Bannerghatta Road.

He also ordered the BDA to take action against the engineers for permitting such unauthorised construction.

The South City Group Housing company was orally asked to remove the marketing office built near the 30-acre complex comprising high-rise buildings, the civic body informed the court.

The judge criticised about the BDA hierarchy and sites saying that he never applied for a BDA site as it stinks. Such sites are allowed to three or more persons so he chose to stay in a rented accommodation. He added saying that BDA allots such sites only to ministers and their children.

The judge belittled the system saying, if a person is raided (by the Lokayukta), he gets a promotion while a person who has no such raids against him will be considered useless. The more the raids, the more the promotions.
