Luxury projects push up demand for home automation
Gurgaon is witnessing high demand for home automation. The factors behind this high demand are new product offerings, greater influx of end-user demand and an increasing upwardly-mobile mid-segment, luxury and ultra-luxury housing projects.
City-based home automation companies have witnessed over a 100 percent rise in their business in the past three years and are betting big on future.
Anant Maheshwari, MD Honeywell Automation India Ltd, says that their home automation products and solutions are available since the real estate industry picked up demand. Even the demand for fully integrated,comprehensive home automation has increased from past three years.
Honeywell has built home systems for more than 100,000 households globally and offers home automation systems that can be linked with multiple gadgets including lighting, curtains, gas valves, thermostats, digital door locks, as well as information home appliances such as air conditioners, washing machine, microwave, and dishwasher.
These devices can be controlled or can be observed as per the user demand through remote control or hand-held internet enabled gadgets. Its user-friendly and helps user to set or change various options like sleep mode, wake up mode, arm/disarm mode or movie mode according to the preferences. Hence, it will ease the uses to control it in just one click.
Director of Smartbus Automatics, Sanjay Sarin appreciates the increase in demand and income by 600 percent in Gurgaon since the launch of their products in 2009. The company, which has specialized in manufacturing, developing and distributing home automation, takes up at least 6-8 projects each month in the city, he added.
A smart home or building is a home that is equipped with special wiring in which it enables homeowners to control and mange everything in their smart home from lighting to appliances, heating and cooling, security and entertainment devices with a single electronic appliance such as a touch-screen around the house, a web browser on any PC or a mobile phone.
