RWA takes over Orchid Petals township’s infrastructure
Residents’ Welfare Association (RWA) of Orchid Petals, located in Sector 49 Gurgaon, has now decided to provide different facilities like power back up, road and security apparatus to the residents of the apartment.
The RWA has taken over the maintenance of the township and this has become the biggest development in the city’s address because in all other residential communities, the builders take care of the maintenance and collect charges from residents. But now in Orchid Petals, the RWA will manage everything: security, water, power and cleaning.
The President of RWA said that the RWA has got the system of power overhauled as during summers, the power back-up is important for the township. Due to an issue earlier, RWA had taken the builder to court and finally an MoU had been signed for the issues to get resolved.
RWA has already deployed security guards at all the gates and the residents are being charged for it. RWA is taking care of the whole maintenance work and they are fully capable of continuing the maintenance work in every nook and corner of the township.
A tentative agreement has been set between the RWA and the builder which states that the RWA will have its office in the township since over 60 flats are still unsold. The builder will have no direct role in the day-to-day functioning or maintenance work.
The quality of work has improved and there is transparency of work after RWA took over, claimed the residents of the apartment in Gurgaon. Very soon, a new RWA will be elected and as per the agreement builder had put a condition that the new RWA will be formed on the basis of fresh election. The builder will have to hand over the assets and the list of inventories to the newly reformed RWA.
